Ideal for our young observers. For dialing the observing frequency there is a scale printed on the panel. The BATZ is a heterodyne detector. In all out detectors we use electret-microphones. The wide range, from 15 kHz up to 120kHz, made them best for our application. Because of the design of the de-centered knobs, you can use it in single-hand-use quite as comfortable as with both hands, even for childs hands. The headphone is connected via a 3,5 mm jack. For dark walks there is a LED torch integrated.

With this frequency division detector you will be able to observe the whole spectrum, 18-120kHz, of bat sounds simultaneously. The whole spectrum is devided by 10 and then can be heard on the integrated Speaker and over the headphone output. This detector is also using the proven electret microphones.
